PASTEL VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY IDEAS & DECORATIONS
It's the season of love, chocolate, and lots and lots of pastels! Valentine's Day is one of our favorite holidays, and it's the perfect excuse to throw a sweet celebration for your kids or girl gang! We've put plenty of parties together featuring candy hearts, ombre decorations, and tons of tasty treats. So read on, because we're letting you in on all the secrets, supplies, and decor you’ll need to throw your own pastel party this February 14th!
To set a dreamy party scene, we suggest layering a balloon garland or two. Balloons and Valentine's Day go together like cupcakes and frosting, so they’ll complement any V-Day theme.
If you don’t want to commit to an entire installation, a simple balloon bundle is just as sweet! These sweetheart conversation heart balloons truly speak for themselves, so they’re perfect for balloon bouquets.
We love to incorporate classic Valentine’s Day party decorations by layering them with balloons. Here, we draped an ombre love garland beneath the balloons to make the pastel pink tones pop. Then, to add some variation we hung some honeycomb hearts at differing heights. These are one of our favorite Valentine's Day decorations because they're super easy to set up and look stylish anywhere.
And if you’re willing to take on a little DIY project, this install would also make a lovely backdrop for IG pics. Hello, DIY Valentine’s Day photo booth!
Our hearts beat for heart-shaped party supplies! To stylize this tablescape, we angled a smaller dessert plate over a larger dinner plate. Then we added the napkins and pink and gold cutlery sets.
All of the hues in these sets blend beautifully together and look divine when mixed and matched. Layer a pastel pink plate over a hot pink one, add a fuchsia napkin and a peach cup, and you've got yourself the prettiest place setting!
Sweethearts candy inspired this other iconic heart-shaped tableware variation. If you’re looking to incorporate even more color into your Valentine’s Day festivities, a candy conversation hearts party is pastel-perfect!
These handpainted placemats have all the classic Spangler candy company flavors including wintergreen, banana, orange, lemon– the list goes on and on! They pair wonderfully with our heart-shaped candy plates, and napkins. To complete the setting, we suggest adding pastel cutlery and a box of tiny conversation heart candies (of course!)
Another pretty pastel pairing: our Signature Petal Pink, Sweet Peach, and Sky Blue plates layered with these multi-colored pastel plates and napkins. Oh la la!
For other table decorations, you can never go wrong with a brimming bouquet of pink and red flowers. These conversation heart tumblers are also fabulous accent pieces, and they double as glam party favors. (Perfect for a Galentine’s Day gathering!)
Pink party cupcakes? Yes, please! We recommend whipping up some red velvet and vanilla cupcakes and topping them off with buttercream frosting and various pink, gold, and white sprinkles. You can also decorate them with Valentine's Day themed cake toppers and display them on a cake stand for a centerpiece you can eat!
Quick tip: if you don’t have toppers handy, conversation heart candies or sour smooches also make adorable dessert decorations!
If you want to add something unique and tasty to your V-Day party, pink cotton candy is the way to go. It's a hit for kid's parties, and grown-up get-togethers! We decked out a cotton candy cart with pink balloons and cheeky decals to make it look like a kissing booth. Perfectly on-theme for a lovefest!
Bounce houses have become all the rage recently, and when we saw this pink castle from House Party Collective, we couldn't pass it up. Just add some sparkly garlands and throw in a few balloons, and your Valentine's Day party is a guaranteed blast!
If you want a simpler, but just as fantastic activity for your kid's Valentine's Day party, grab one or two coloring posters! Detailed with all kinds of fun Valentine's Day icons, they’ll keep your little love bugs busy. Turn it into a party game, and have your kids color them in with some heart crayons. Then, hang up the finished creation for another adorable V-day decoration!
Sending guests home with party favors is always fun, but at a Valentine's Day party, it's a must! We're in love with these heart shaped pinata favors and how fantastic they look on a pink adorned party table. Simply place one at each setting for easy decor, and let your guests take them home as a special treat!
And since this holiday has our heart, we had to add these Valentine glasses to the table as well! They make the perfect valentine for your party guests, or for your kids to give out to their class. Not to mention, they’re the perfect accessory for all the Valentine's Day party photo-ops!
We've got so much love for this holiday, so we hope we've sent a little Valentine's Day inspiration your way! Find even more Valentine’s Day cards, decorations, tableware, and goodies here. Wishing you and your sweethearts the loveliest love month! XOXO
