We’ve hosted many Spring celebrations over the years, so we have tons of Easter inspo to share! From beautiful Easter tablescapes to delicious dessert ideas, read on for our top party planning tips and must-haves for celebrating Easter!
EGG-CITING DECORATIONS
The most inviting Spring table settings are full of bright colors and lively decorations. We recommend choosing your favorite Easter partyware and building the rest of your tablescape from there.
Here, we wanted to play up all of the colors in this Easter bunny honeycomb decoration set. So, we used coordinating tableware embellished with a colorful balloon garland and a bold bunny bucket bouquet. We also made a DIY table runner by repurposing some Easter basket shred!
Vibrant color schemes are great because it opens up so many party theme possibilities. If you want to take a whimsical approach, egg yolk dinner plates are darling. But, there are plenty of other Easter party supplies that would also make this setting sunny side up!
When it comes to Easter gatherings, even the most formal affairs can (and should!) be rich in color. You can make things feel more elevated by selecting a handful of hues, and color-blocking with them.
For example, we decorated with a quartet of flocked bunnies, and coordinated our Easter tablescape ideas around their colors.
With lavender, mint, blue, and cream as our theme, we chose solid plates and layered them in a color-blocked fashion.
Since the setting is so simplistic, it leaves lots of room for other additions like bunny napkins or floral napkin rings.
Another colorful and egg-cellent Easter decoration idea you can try involves Easter eggs, themselves. Adding a ceramic egg or flocked egg ornament will add a festive flourish to any place setting.
We’ve also used Easter egg ornaments in hanging installations with colorful ribbon and bundled flowers. However, you don’t need to go this extravagant to have an eye-catching tablescape. As long as your decor is vibrant and colorful, every-bunny will love what you come up with.
FLORAL ACCENTS
The best Spring tablescapes are full of florals, so a flower-themed fête is another wonderful Easter idea. To capture this darling theme, start with a blooming bouquet centerpiece. Then, simply incorporate some Spring flower decorations alongside more traditional Easter accents.
For this Easter brunch (or dinner) table setting, we layered a plaid pastel colored plate underneath a small Happy Easter plate. The scallop edges help emphasize the daisy theme, and they paired beautifully with the honeycomb Easter garland table decoration.
Finally, we added the matching plaid napkin and cup, as well as a carrot-shaped napkin for some more Easter charm. Themed party favors are always an Easter table must-have, and these floral crackers completed this flower-themed fête brilliantly. We suggest adding some surprise eggs, too, especially if you’re hosting a kid-friendly Easter party.
For Easter events that are a bit more elevated, we recommend adopting an elegant floral theme. Simply swap in some elegant pastel plates and other floral accents.
Since bright yellow perfectly captures the happiness of Easter, we can’t help but share some more dreamy daisy ideas. Stick with yellow and white tableware and decorate with farmhouse accents like white wicker Easter baskets.
For more daisy details, we embellished a white balloon garland with sprouts of flowers, and added some honeycomb decorations for fullness. This is a fabulous DIY decoration that works for a variety of holidays and themes. (Hello, daisy birthday party idea!)
When it comes to Easter party food, it’s all about what’s on the dessert table. Sweet and tangy treats like lemon meringue tartlets and macarons are great for Spring brunches. You can also never go wrong with an Easter cake!
For this theme, we recommend embracing the yellow color palette and serving desserts that match. And if you choose a treat that could use a topper, this Easter-themed set is a fabulous option!
OUT-OF-THE-BOX (OR BASKET) ACTIVITIES
Most Easter activities consist of dying eggs or searching for them. And while those Easter games are always fun, it doesn’t hurt to switch things up a bit. If you’re looking for something new to do with your little bunnies, consider an Easter cookie-decorating party.
Frosting and decorating Easter cookies is much easier to coordinate and clean up than dying and decorating eggs. It’s also something that every-bunny (both kids and adults) can enjoy.
You can snag all of the supplies here and add some cookie decorating fun to your kids Easter baking activity agenda!
